Wifi Access Guides
Solution
For each Wifi signal level as received by a notebook with b/g WiFi built-in, the corresponding equipment would be needed……
4 bars = no need any extra equipment, can connect with PDA, smartphone with WiFi or notebook with built-in WiFi card
3 bars = can connect with PDA, smartphone with WiFi or notebook with built-in WiFi card
2-3 bars = can connect with only a notebook with b/g WiFi card (built-in or external)
2 bars = some notebooks can connect, others may need an external WiFi Card or a USB high-powered WiFi card or use a Ruckus DualZone AP (which will connect to the clicknet WiFi transmitter and at same time provide a internal WiFi coverage for the user in the house or office – they can make it private by enabling encryption in the unit)
1 bar = Will require the use of the ruckus dualzone AP. For locations with even weaker signals, the ruckus unit can be fitted with an external panel antenna to boost the reception.
